Behind The Eye Laser Center is a team composed of one of the Philippines’ most experienced cataract surgeons, along with highly trained optometrists, anesthesiologists, surgical nurses and clinic staff to serve each and every patient with the most appropriate treatment for their eye problems.
Dr.
Raul S. Tolentino, Jr., is the Chief Ophthalmologist of The Eye
Laser Center in Davao. Based on some members of the Philippine Academy
of Opthalmology (PAO), he is among the top 5 surgeons in the country
for the past five years when it comes to the volume of cataract procedures
done annually.
He graduated among the top of his class in the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Medicine and is currently the Chaiman of Brokenshire Hospital’s Department of Ophthalmology. He conducts live demonstrations and lectures about LASIK and difficult cases of cataract surgeries in various medical conventions. He is one of the firsts to shift to stitchless, injection-free cataract surgery otherwise known as “phacoemulsification”. . He practices mostly in Davao City and sees patients in Metro Manila on appointment.
Dr. Tolentino, a diplomate of the Philippine Board of Opthalmology is also a member of the American Academy of Opthalmology (AAO), Philippine Academy of Opthalmology (PAO), American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), Philippine Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (PSCRS), Southern Mindanao Society of Opthalmology, Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity of the UP College of Medicine and a life member of Philippine Medical Association (PMA).
