Autologous Stem Cell Transplant

Frequently Asked Questions

What are stem cells?

Stem cells are the basic building blocks of life, the basic cell from which our bodies are made. They are formed at conception and specialized to become all the different tissues of the body: muscle, nerve, organs, bone, blood and so on.

When do we use the body's stem cells?

We tap into our body's stem cell reserve to repair and replace injured or diseased tissue. Unfortunately our reserve is FINITE and as it becomes depleted, the regenerative power of our body decreases and we succumb to diseases, disorder and the ravages of aging.

What are the sources of stem cells from one's own body?

There are three sources from a patient that can be used clinically these are bone marrow, peripheral blood and fat.

Which is the best source to harvest from and why?

The best source to harvest stem cell from one's body is the FAT because it is rich in mesenchyme stem cell and more than 100x more stem cells can be harversted as compared to bone marrow.

What is Autologous Stem Cell Transplant?

It is the harvesting of dormant stem cells from 100 cc of a patients fat and peripheral blood through liposuction. The harvested dormant stem cells are incubated in stimulating growth factors, isolated and infused back into the patient intravenously. The whole procedure takes up to 4 hours in the operating room of the hospital under local anesthesia It takes about an hour to harvest, 3 hours to incubate & stimulate the stem cells and infuse them back to the patient.

Are there any moral or religious issues with regards to Autologous Stem Cell Transplant?

None. It uses the patient's own stem cells which will be harvested from the abdomen fat. Furthermore, there will be no issue with regards to matching of stem cells since it is FROM YOU AND BACK TO YOU.

Who will perform the procedure?

The Autologous Stem Cell Transplant is an exclusive collaboration of Dr. Florencio Q. Lucero. a senior plastic surgeon from the Philippines and Dr. Bill Paspaliaris, CEO of StemTech, Ltd., Hong Kong, the provider of the technology for the stem cell transplant.

Dr. Florencio Q. Lucero is a board certified plastic surgeon with Philippines and USA residency and fellowship training in Plastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. He has over 25 years experience in private practice and in the university. He is a key opinion leader in the field of Plastic Surgery and holds various positions in the medical specialty societies.

Dr. Bill Paspaliaris holds a Ph.D degree and also a Doctor of Medicine. He had training in Clinical Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine. He is presently the clinical research scientist involved in the development and promotion of
adipose-derived stem cells and their clinical use.

What indications can Autologous Stem Cell Transplant be most beneficial?

Autologous Stem Cell Transplant holds great promise against a wide variety of degenerative illnesses such as Alzheimers and Parkinson's disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, spinal cord injuries and even aging itself. Aside from treating the disease, its beneficial side effect is REJUVENATION in terms of looking younger feeling stronger and in some patients increased libido. According to highly respected scientists world wide, we can counter the effect of aging itself and will one day enable us to live and be healthy to an age of 120 to 130 years.

How long has stem cell research been going on?

The Institute for Regenerative Medicine, which started in Russia, has been in the research and development of the clinical uses of stem cells for over 35 years. There are about 2,000 patients protocol and outcomes. Also, about 200 Ph.Ds, scientists and doctors who share experiences and proprietary knowledge.
