There are two sides to the MDH hospital pharmacy services:

o         The professional or clinical services which include the satellite pharmacies (OR, DR, ER,) oncology pharmacy, and unit dose drug distribution system.

o         The business and administrative services which includes the inpatient and outpatient dispensing services; purchasing and inventory control of pharmaceuticals (includes Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), IV Ad mixtures, and compounded preparations).

In line with our objectives, the Pharmacy Department guarantees to:

o         Provide pharmaceutical services through drug counseling and utilization review for better compliance with the highest level of integrity.

o         Render quality comprehensive and timely pharmaceutical services thereby promoting safe, rational and cost effective drug therapy.

o         Make available all drugs and drug information as needed for rational, patient- oriented drug therapy.

o         Develop staff professional competency through continuing education, research, personal development and spiritual enrichment.

o         Explore and pursue with perseverance innovative measures in carrying out the pharmaceutical care process.
